An excerpt from the article 24 facts about Judaism

Abrahamic religions are religions that have their roots in the ancient accounts of the Jewish holy book, the Torah, about Abraham, the biblical patriarch.

There are three major Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Others include Babism, Bahaism, Samaritanism, and the Rastafari movement.

The Abrahamic religions make up the majority of the world's religions. They are based on the Pentateuch (the first five books of the Bible) or texts derived from it. Muslims refer to followers of most Abrahamic religions as the People of the Book (this applies only to religions older than Islam).
