Heads of state are received in the Hall of Mirrors, the bicameral French Parliament meets in Versailles in a joint external session to revise the French constitution, a tradition that came into force with the promulgation of the constitution of 1875.
The President of the National Assembly has his official residence in the Palace of Versailles.
