The Cabbage white butterfly is one of the most common white butterfly species in North America. It was accidentally introduced to Quebec, Canada in 1860 and quickly spread across the continent, so it's sometimes called the imported cabbage worm in the USA. It is native to Europe and Asia.
Species is considered a pest because of its predilection for cruciferous vegetables such as kale, broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage.
It hasn't conquered South America yet.
